More Ningyogami Cards and No Class on Saturday

Hi, All!  Please note there is no class again this month.  I am hoping that Hawaii will open up on gatherings -- enough to hold class next month.  In the meantime, let's all do our part, Hawaii: Mask up, wash your hands often, and social distance.

I'm sharing more Ningyogami cards today:

My daily routine involves packing a kit of washi paper, glue and scissors, taking them with me wherever I go (including at work). If I have a spare minute or so, I’ll make one or two dolls on the go. Then when I’m back home, I transfer the dolls to cards.

People have asked where I learned how to create them. I found out how to create the basic paper dolls several years ago. Then I just rearrange the clothes or hair until it looks like what I have in mind.

These last two cards, I decided to add more things on them.

but I like the plainer cards better.

They make the dolls look much more serene and elegant, don’t you think?

It’s been a while ...

It's been a while since I posted some pictures of my Ningyogami dolls and I have made quite a few lately. Here is one of them.

Have a great day!

Thanks for your Kindness

Today I thought I would try a little experiment.  Die cut letters behind a stamped image using Quickutz and my Stamparatus.  I should have stacked the letters higher but oh well.  Not bad for using supplies I had on hand.

Stamps used:  Papertrey Flower Garden and Thanks All Ways
Dies used:  Quickutz Diesel letters

Challenge:  Shauna's Ink to Paper/Papertrey Ink Thanks Project found here.

Thank you for stopping by!

Help, I'm in a slump . . .

Meaning, I haven't felt like creating anything for the past couple of weeks.  Haven't had the energy . . .  Are you feeling like this?  I know it has a lot to do with the Stay At Home mandate.  So, to get out of it and to start my energy flowing, I decided to join Melissa's Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper Fab Friday Challenge.  Since it is the first week of September, I decided to create a Thankful Autumn card:

I decorated the inside of the card:
and, since I had a spurt of energy, the envelope too:
Stamps used:  PTI Seasonal Borders Autumn and Basket of Blessings. To create "Thankful", I masked the two stamps "Thank You" and "Grateful".

Melissa's challenge can be found HERE.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the long Labor Day weekend!
