Masculine themes swap

Hi!  I'm back and already have blogger issues<sigh>. Wanted to stop by and let you know that we still have our tea and 3x3 monthly swaps if anyone is interested in joining us.  It's great because although we are social distancing, we can still connect via the swaps 😊  Here is Dori's cute tea card and matching 3x3. Unfortunately, I neglected to take a picture of the one I sent her. The theme
last month was Masculine and I think she did an awesome card, don't you?

It's a Great Day to Do Some Crafting!!

Thankfully, Iselle spared us and it looks like Hurricane Julio is not a threat to us.  Thank goodness!!
Since most businesses were closed on Friday (in anticipation of the Double Threat of the two Hurricanes), we all had an unexpected three-day weekend!!  Hurray!!  That meant some crafting time!!

Here are a couple of cards I completed in between the normal house chores today:

July's Tea swap theme was Speech Bubbles in colors:  blue, green and yellow and here is my card.  I was very happy about it too!

Let's see:  stamp is by Stampin' Up Cheep Talk (Thank you, Colleen!!).  It is one of my favorite stamp sets.  Bubble stamp and diecut by Sizzix.  I made 3 of these cards but only one with the Bubble.  I decided to put on a bubble when the card is needed.  That way, the card can be a Thank You  or Birthday card!

See that fuzzy oval on this card?  I had two and I think it was sitting on my desk for a couple of years.  I am happy to say that they are both on a card and ready for giving!!!

Next project:  There is a pile of scraps and left over projects piled high on my desk.  My goal is to clear them off this weekend and start on the next class project which, by the way, are cards, and that class is scheduled for August 30, just three weeks away!!

Have a great one!!

Masculine Cards Cards - Sneek Peak

Here is a card for the best, fixer upper dad in the world!! The pocket is opened at the top so a gift card can be added instead of the handmade tools. Inside is blank.

Class is this Saturday, 1:30 p.m. There is still space so let me know if you wish to join us!

I'll post the supply list in my next post!

Thank you for visiting!

Masculine cards - sneak peek

Another masculine card similar to the one I posted previously, except I used a flip fold and it is a gift card. If you are a beginner card maker, there are a few basic supplies you should add to your collection. The first, of course, are the basic all occasion stamps like "Thank you", "Happy Birthday", "With Sympathy", and "Just a Note". Next, keep an eye out for a few basic "all occasion" images or embellishments, like a birthday cake, balloons, flowers and something masculine like this stamp that I found at a garage sale for only a buck!

Masculine cards - sneak peek

I decided to go with some silver foiling technique for the rest of the cards. If you are interested in signing up for the class, please contact me here or contact Bill at A Place In Time. I have a couple more sneak peeks to share and the supply list.

Thank you for stopping by.

Masculine Card Class - Sneak Peak

Hi, Everyone! Here is the first sneak peak for next week Saturday's class. That is June 7, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at A Place in Time, Kailua. Cost is $23 and I will post the supplies you should bring to class later this week.

I thought for the first card, since it is graduation weekend, it would definitely be a "suit" card and here is what I came up with. The collar of the inside shirt holds the lapels of the jacket closed.

Small brads create the buttons on the shirt.

This card could be used for graduation, wedding, or even birthday.  A little folding here, a little cutting here.  You will be amazed at how quick it is to pull this card together!!
