2 Hearts (w/tea)

Quick Tea Card using the Flip Card technique from Dori (Thanks, Dori!). This one will go to my February tea partner -- Kim D. in Ware, MA.

When the card is opened, the slider pulls out the tea. This card is also great for gift cards!

The white slider is 4.5 x 6.5, scored at 3.5" The pocket is 6" x 5" On the 6" side, score 1/2 from both sides. Fold the pocket in half (2.5" score line). Trim and tuck in 1/2 from both sides to create the pocket. Adhere to bottom of card (or side in this case).

Insider white slider (short end in the pocket) and adhere (do not adhere past the score line) to top edge of card.

Anyway, here is a card that my good friend, Brenda (the Hawn Librarian) made for me. Love it, Bren!!! Thank you for being so thoughtful!

Layout share

Another layout share from my retreat. This is my older dog, Max. I took this photo during my "photography" phase when I was practicing with natural light and interesting angles. (His nose isn't really that big!)

Layout share

So, I had some ladies over and we went to my bayhouse in Surfside for a little mini-retreat. I got 6 pages and 3 cards scrapped and I did a lot of sewing. I'm posting some of the items over at my other blog so be sure to check both sites and subscribe!

This is a layout for a trip to Fiesta Texas last year for my daughter's 18th birthday.

Already Made Cards - What to do?

I bought a box of pattern covered blank cards. I figured I would quickly dress them up and give them away as Christmas gifts. Well, I had too many ideas this holiday season and not enough time. Since I needed a boy Birthday card, I dressed one of the cards rather quickly and came up with this:

The card to the left is the "undressed" card.

Cuttlebug airplane die, nestabilities, SU Border punch, TLC Rubon words.

A little sunshine

For the past 5 years I have been purchasing gifts throughout the year, as I found something that someone would like. Well I recently found these cute dish towel set and thought I would add a personal touch.

I took out my Cricut (which hadn't been used in 6 months) and created
matching 3 x 3 note cards with vellum envelopes (not posted).
Having little gifts on hand saves time and stress. Now to find a place where they will be safe ....

Bazzil cs, cuttlebug embossing folder and Cricut Walk in My Garden cartridge

Chipboard Calendar - Part 2 of 2

Part 2 of 2 on the little chipboard calendar I made this weekend. Again, I realize that I took photos before I stuck the embellishments for September (which were at home) so you will have to pretend on that month. This is part 2 of 2 - months July to December. Part 1 was posted yesterday. Enjoy! KC

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

The house is quiet. The kiddos are still asleep after popping the fireworks until midnight. It's the last year for fireworks. The ban goes into effect tomorrow. I grew up popping fireworks every New Years and Fourth of July with my siblings and many cousins. A tradition that my children will, hopefully remember, but never again experience .... maybe not. Maybe the law will change ...

Happy New Year!!
