Tea Swap

Hello everyone!  Just popping in to let you know we still have our monthly tea swap and 3x3 swap.  Going  strong 10+ years.  If you are interested in joining us, send me an email and I'll invite you to the next open call.

A Little Paper Wallet Gift Set Class - August 31st

I'm sorry that our Japan trip posts will have to be continued later.  I've been busy with life --- work, family and class (you know how it goes :o).

Here's the next project for our Saturday class.  It is a little Paper Wallet gift set which holds 4 cards and envelopes.  The project can easily be remade to hold more cards or pictures/  I have included a littled pocket to hold stamps (or a gift card).

The class wll be concentrated on creating the wallet.  With the left over scraps, there will be supplies to create at least 4 cards which can easily be created at home.  Below are some samples,.

Class set for Saturday, August 31, 2019

Time:  1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Place:  At Jade's place in Kailua

Cost:  $23.00

Please bring the following supplies to class: Scissors, Paper trimmer, scoring device (i.e. Scor-pal), bone folder, corner rounder, liquid adhesive and tape adhesive, Stampin up window punch (if you have), dimensionals or foam tape.

Note:  I am having you pick your own pattern paper but the base will all be cream and kraft.

I was finally able to finish the class sample. Here it is, my "in style" designer handbag with coordinating cards using Stampin' Up's Beautiful You stamp set. Class is scheduled this Saturday, January 27 at 1:30 p.m. To 4:00 p.m. at A Place In Time in Kailua. Cost is $23.00. Email me directly (click on my picture above) to reserve your spot.

Please bring the following supplies to class: Your Basic Card Kit (below), Scor-Pal or other scoring device, strong adhesive (tape or liquid), and a piercing tool.

*Your Basic Card Kit Supplies should include: A paper trimmer, scissors, both tape and liquid adhesive, black ink marker/pen, pencil and eraser, ruler, dimensional tape, tweezers, a scoring tool, corner rounder, and baby wipes.

Halloween Treats

Even in college, my daughter still loves to get little treats to hand out to her friends.  This year she is working an intership so she also wants to give treats to her co-workers.   This is the first treat bag I've made.   I got my inspiration from the cute treat bags on Pinterest.  

The orange polka dot bag is from the Container Store.  The tag is cut from some old halloween paper, skull sticker is from Mikes.   Ribon and black twine is from my stash. 

I'm sure I'll have more bags to post through-out the month as I plan to make some for my co-workers also.   Enjoy!

Easter basket - Gift from Dori

Last week I quickly connected with my friend, Dori, and look what she made for me!

A Little Aloha

With the left overs from the Tropical Flair class, I decided to create a mini paper bag.

To see the size of the little bag, here it is compared to a 3x3 card and 3x3 post-it note holder.

I only used a 6 x 12 inch paper, scoring at 1 3/4" for the sides. Top folds down 1" and the bottom folds up 1 1/2". This is also where the teacher learns from her students. A special thank you to Byron for sharing the idea of braiding the raffia handles. He shared another bag he made entirely on his own after our class. I was so proud of him!!
