Masculine Card Class - Sneak Peak

Hi, Everyone! Here is the first sneak peak for next week Saturday's class. That is June 7, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at A Place in Time, Kailua. Cost is $23 and I will post the supplies you should bring to class later this week.

I thought for the first card, since it is graduation weekend, it would definitely be a "suit" card and here is what I came up with. The collar of the inside shirt holds the lapels of the jacket closed.

Small brads create the buttons on the shirt.

This card could be used for graduation, wedding, or even birthday.  A little folding here, a little cutting here.  You will be amazed at how quick it is to pull this card together!!

Graduation season

Wow, Graduation season has hit our household! I've been busy planning things and organizing the boy's activities.

Here's a quick project. It's a graduation card/envelope.
I think it came out really well!! I saw this design on a card a while ago. I remembered it when I saw my leftover A6 size cards (pictured above). I think I'm going to create more.

The Wheels on the Bus . . .

Go round and round, round and round . . .

A little wooden car.
One day, dear husband asked my help. I had to turn this into a bus.
But it looks like a limo, I told him.
Of course, I think that hurt his feelings.  After all, he created it.
I hemmed and I hawed.  Looked at it from different angles. Bus, huh???
Still looks like a limo!!?
He was adament, it had to be a bus.

A bus that had no "The Bus" signs on it, too!
Out came the crafting supplies and, I admit, it's not T-H-A-T bad.
Husband was happy with it.
Still looks like a limo though :o)

Boy Birthday Card

WOW, time sure went by and so many things have happened! I have many things to post, just didn't have time to post! LOL!!

Here is the first. Remember Rebecca Sower? She was my scrapbooking idol back in the day . . . 1990's? I used to paperpiece a lot and, really miss it. Remember the days when you had to create all of your embellishments by hand. Now, we have every tool imaginable to simply the process. I think this card is based on one of her designs and I recently saw it on one of my past scrapbook pages and thought it would make a cute birthday card for a 9 year-old:

Masculine Cards - Class

Due to family celebrations, the next class has been rescheduled to June 7, Saturday. It will be a masculine card class. I made the above card for someone's birthday this morning at 12:30a. It only took an hour. LOL!! Oh, and it is not one of the cards we will make in the masculine class.

So, please stay tuned for masculine sneak peaks!!!
