A Little Paper Wallet Gift Set Class - August 31st

I'm sorry that our Japan trip posts will have to be continued later.  I've been busy with life --- work, family and class (you know how it goes :o).

Here's the next project for our Saturday class.  It is a little Paper Wallet gift set which holds 4 cards and envelopes.  The project can easily be remade to hold more cards or pictures/  I have included a littled pocket to hold stamps (or a gift card).

The class wll be concentrated on creating the wallet.  With the left over scraps, there will be supplies to create at least 4 cards which can easily be created at home.  Below are some samples,.

Class set for Saturday, August 31, 2019
Time:  1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Place:  At Jade's place in Kailua
Cost:  $23.00

Please bring the following supplies to class: Scissors, Paper trimmer, scoring device (i.e. Scor-pal), bone folder, corner rounder, liquid adhesive and tape adhesive, Stampin up window punch (if you have), dimensionals or foam tape.

Note:  I am having you pick your own pattern paper but the base will all be cream and kraft.

Please email if you will be attending.  Thank you!

Here's one that I was just playing around with.  Note how the different pattern paper can totally change the look.

Japan - Day 2

Day 2 started with a Buffet Breakfast at Hapuna which had a Hawaiian Decor Flair.  Sis, being a foodie tried all the different types of foods offered.
Including the matcha, orange juice and coffee.
Next stop -- a return to Decks.  The day before we caught the city transportation (The bus) to Decks but most of the stores were closed by the time we got there.  So today, we took a cab:
This is also the place where we took our first selfie!  Little did we know that it would take lots and lots of tries before we got it right...
Lower deck upper deck:
We went to a Tokyo Trick Art Museum in which we had totally lots of fun!  Check these pictures out:

The Trick Art Museum contains one dimensional paintings that have the look of 3D.  We took probably 100 pictures in the museum and I'll just have to show a few of the ones we laughed about . . .
We took so many pictures at this stage because we kept cracking up with laughter....
Here is what is really happening - a mirror.

Unfortunately, I can not show you all the fun pictures because Blogger would probably kick me out, but here is our favorite one:
It took us at least 20 shots before we kinda got it right.  Here is what the picture really looks like in REAL LIFE:
We would definitely return to the Museum with our family one day.
Lunch was at a little Italian restaurant:
Chicken ragout and bambooshoot pepperonicino (1.480Y)
And the special Mozzarella Grana Padano, pepperoni, Asiago, Tomato sauce, Tareggio, Basil Pizza (1.580Y )
Of course we hit the Daiso store and saw Fran's chocolates,
All in all, a definitely long day and wonderful time at Decks:

Japan - Day 1

Well - I guess it is finally time to post a sisters trip to Japan. It was my first time to Japan and my sister's 3rd.  We had a BLAST, plenty sister bonding time filled with lots of laughter and togetherness.

Day 1:
After 4 months of anticipation, the day was finally here.  No husbands, no kids, just us two.  After a 9 hour flight and we finally arrived at Haneda Airport in Narita at 1:30am HST.  While in the airport, Sis discovered she left her itinerary and all her yen on the airplane!  After a 20 minute wait, they found it and returned everything to her.  We thanked them with Hawaiian Host Macademia Nut Chocolates and Pineapple gummies. We laughed about it after the fact because this is typically the type of thing that NEVER happens to her but ALWAYS happens to ME!

Why I love Japan -- for their honesty.

From there we take a taxi to our hotel - Prince Shinogawa Hotel and went to bed after planning what we would do the next day.
