Tea Card for Dori

Here is a card I made for Dori of Aiea. Mmmm, since she is also a local girl, I'm going to choose a tea not from here . . . Canadian and Alaskian tea! The image is emboss and outlined from a brass stencil. Chalk was added as well as some stickles on the flowers. Oh, and the gold metal book corner tops it off.

Birthday flowers

Part of a birthday gift for a friend. We were going to send her flowers but the first planned birthday lunch got canceled ... and the flowers would have died. So I created some flowers that will last for a very long time!

3x3 Duded Up Cards - Part 2

Well, ran out of already punched lion punchies so I decided to create the giraffe with the leftovers of the same class. Whatcha think? Just 3 more cards to create and all done!

3x3 Duded Up Card

Here's my 3 x 3 Duded Up card. What do you think? I used left over pieces from the Wild Things Class. Didn't have to punch a thing!

Happy Father's Day - Still the King of the Road

One of the cards from our Shoebox swap. We used images from those scrapbooking yearly calendars us scrappers get for Christmas. You know the ones! Well, I just added more elements to the card like Crystal Effects, Chalking, distressing, pop dots, brads and ribbon.

I gave my dad this one. Hope you had a wonderful day celebrating the men in our lives.

Father's Day - Shirt & Tie

Created for the Koolau Kropper's Shoebox Card swap next week. I just love the whole look, simple yet elegant with the origami necktie. I can't take full credit, though. One day as I was blog hopping, I came across this from CardoftheWeek.com. I've kept it for a couple of years and thought it's time to pull it out again, just in time for Father's Day. Great idea for a Retirement Card or even a Graduation card.

I used a 3 x 3 pattern paper for the tie which will fit an A2 card perfectly! The collar is created by cutting the card 5/8" down and cut in on both sides 1". Adhere a finished tie to the middle, centering so that the two loose flaps meet nicely in the middle with the tie hanging down in the middle. Fold the two flaps together so it looks like a collar and tack down with brads.

SU Teeny Tiny Wishes, SU Window punch, brads, wire (dusted off and used!), and scraps of paper.

8 kits were created way into the late nite. I was having too much fun being creative that I finally forced myself to bed at 1a this morning.

Tea Card - June

My tea partner this month is Lynn S. from El Cajon, CA. I hope she likes this card, using up some scraps, stamps, embossing plate, paste and stencil from a while back. I was bummed about the Stickles. It dropped while still wet. Oh well, it's not too bad, huh.

I'm going to include a tea I picked up in Canada as well as one from Hawaii.

2010 Scraplift Challenge - June

Just got back from an Alaskian cruise. How fun! Came back with tons of pictures which I hope to create a digital scrapbook.

Anyway, I've been holding a monthly challenge at the Scrapper's Challenge yahoo group. It's a year long monthly scraplift challenge.

This is the sample layout for June:

The challenge is to create your own scraplift of the layout using items from your own stash. Wanna join me?

Here is my simple take on the layout:

I'm trying to include scrapbook challenges in my busy schedule which forces me to complete at least scrap 1 page a month. Remember, simple is good!!
