Graduation Time!

Hi everyone!  Graduation is almost upon us.  Here are two ideas for you:

I still have these plain black envelopes from a previous class. I just decorated it with cardstock, brad, fiber and beads.  They make the quickest cards! I just pop in a gift card of $$ and it's all done.  Mmm, I might pick up more to just keep on hand.

I pulled out my Stamping Bella stamp for this one. She had not seen ink and I've had her for a while. It was fun to color since I haven't done it in a long while.

On to other things:

I'm enjoying my green thumb lately:

Girlfriend DeAnna gave me this tea vase a couple of years ago. I've finally put it to use! With mom's help, she snipped a little piece of plant. I put it on a green ... "thing-a-ma-jig" and carefully placed it on the bottom. L-O-V-E I-T!!! While we are at it, a friend gave me a ceramic miniature cup and saucer. I added another plant in there.

Happy to say both of them are doing so well!! They look so pretty along my windowsill.

Have a green day!

Couple Hawaiian Cards

Here are a couple Hawaiian cards that I made several months ago.

The stencil for this card is by Dreamweavers. Stampendous bought out Dreamweavers last year. I'm sure you can still find this stencil around.

Honu Diecut is from Quickutz. Remember them? If I remember correctly, Quickutz was the first diecut machine to enter the scrapbooking craze. I remembering sending a wish list to DHH and I got it for Christmas that year.

Then the craze that following of getting as many Quickutz as I could, considering the diecut tool was $300 then!! Do you remember?

Lastly, the birthday stamp is by Stampettes, an online rubber stamp site that I see at craft fairs here during the holidays. The stencil for the flowers are made by A Place in Time!

Happy Mother's Day!!

It's Mother's Day and today I'm going to tea with my mom, aunt, sister and niece!

Can't have a tea party without little gifts! I decided to make them purple since it is my mom and sister's favorite color.

The little hats I had seen on Pinterest a couple of times.  They are made using the 1 oz and 2 oz Portion cups which are on sale at Ben Franklin Crafts this week!  I filled the cups with crispy M&Ms.

The little clutch bags are popup gift cards which I created at the spur of the moment.  The green bow and label were placed on clear bags which I cut the sides off and adhered it to fit around the bag.  For my niece, I put two Hello Kitty Magnets where normally a gift card will be placed.

For my aunt and sister, I added some postage which I know they will always use.  Mom got something else in hers.

Happy Mother's Day!  Celebrate YOU!!

Teacher Appreciation gifts

Thank you to all the teachers out there for all of their hard work and dedication in teaching our children!

I found mini apple pies at Walmart and thought they would make great little gifts to add to the iTunes gift card I decided to give the teachers this year.
