Last minute birthday boy card

Products used:  SU banners punch, cupcake punch, fancy label punch; Stampendous monkey stamp, fiber, brass circle nail head, pop dot, letter diecuts from my stash and purchased "blank" card.

Yesterday we spent a beautiful and fun-filled afternoon at Gunstock Ranch in Laie for a birthday party.  We did some horseback riding and swam in the above deck WARM pool; and it was a perfect blue-skied Saturday with some cool breezes.  It was our first time there and we had a WONDERFUL time!!

I'm back!!!

Sorry about the long silence.  Late March I had a sore throat which developed into Pneumonia.  4 doctor visits and 4 meds later, I am F-I-N-A-L-L-Y well!  However, the almost 3 week of sickness really put me behind in the class projects.  Plus the meds made me extremely sleepy that I couldn't concentrate on any projects.  So, thank you for sticking by!

I am currently working on a 5x7 mini album for May's Class Project.  It uses the beautiful Prima collection called Nature Garden (Google it!).  The sample should be finished by this weekend (hopefully!).  The class will cost $28 and is scheduled on Saturday, May 25.  More info later.

Welcome Baby

I've been doing this little baby Punch Art for years.  Here is the card and envelope I created for a co-worker.  The gift card was from many of us so I included 10 pages for signing.  The gift card is inserted in to the gift card holder on the inside of the card.

I did a class years ago (preblogging).  If there is enough interest, I will do another class in the near future.

Thank you for stopping by.  I've been under the weather since Saturday, still recuperating, still feel yucky!

Easter Baskets

Happy Easter, Everyone! 🌷

Sorry...no Easter card this year, just baskets. Super easy & fun to make. Exactly my kind of crafts! One side was embellished with a "Happy Easter" bunny stamp layered on punched scalloped circle & on the other side, a SU Blossom punch flower. Fill your basket(s) with Easter grass and goodies!

Baskets can be made for different occasions. You can alter and decorate them to your liking. So hop on over to Frenchies blog for a full video. Enjoy and most of all have FUN!

HAPPY EASTER!

Paper Trimmer Update ~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some of you asked for an update on my Rotatrim paper trimmer and if I am still in love  ;o)  After using it extensively for 3 months, I STILL love it!!  However, this paper trimmer is not for everyone!!
  • There is a 2-inch-wide plastic finger guard to the left of the blade, you can't cut skinny strips of paper.
  • You cannot cut multiple pieces of card stock; perhaps 2-3 sheets will fit under the finger guard.
  • It is NOT a mobile trimmer!
For me, the selling points were durability and precision.  Heck, I can cut chipboard with this!!  I recently used the office's paper trimmer.  It cut straight a couple of months ago.  Last week, however, it no longer cuts straight.  Don't know what happened, it wasn't dropped and it wasn't abused (I should know because I kept it close to me!).  I looked up the price and it was just as expensive as the Rotatrim.  However, the office paper trimmer has a plastic base and is of the Guillotine type.
I still love my paper trimmer.  Yes, it has the limitations indicated above but I can cut skinny strips of paper other ways and I wasn't looking for a mobile trimmer.  Yes, I can only cut a couple of paper at a time but I will NOT trade multiple cutting for precision cutting!  The Rotatrim is built solid, it's heavy.  I expect to have this baby for a L-O-N-G time!!
I know for most people (even me at one time), cost is a big factor.  I would love to hear what values you look for in a paper trimmer and if you have found the trimmer that is right for your needs.
