Needed an ID for a flash drive. Since I had a bottle cap available, I quickly checked online to see how others were creating their cute bottle cap jewelry.
Did you know that you can just run it through the Big Shot? Punch a hole with your Crop-a-Dile and either use Crystal Lacquer or adhere a clear acrylic 1" circle on it. Add a chain or key holder like I did and you are all done!
Speak of ID Tags, here's one you maybe interested in. I've been doing it for years! At the hardware are laminated chip samples.
I've taken a couple of these samples, added stickers, punch art, etc., etc. Then using a Versamark stamp pad, ink all over the front of the plate. Then use UTEE (ultra thick embossing powder) and emboss the front of the laminated chip. In the back of the laminated chip I usually print or label my phone number or address ("If lost, please return to ..."). I've added these personalized laminated chips on our suitcases, backpacks, lunch pairs and other cases. They last forever!! The daisy tag above is actually the first one I did 12 years ago. It was sealed with regular embossing powder so over the years the embossing was starting to fall out. To make it new again, I re-embossed it with the UTEE.
Happy crafting!!!

Ningyogami cards
I learned how to do a different ningyogami doll from Kelli a while ago. It entailed more folding. Well, I finally had some play time to create more of these cute dolls. Here's they are:
That was fun! I was even able to use some of my Graphic 45 Bird Song scraps. Here's one up close:
Thanks, Kell! L-o-v-e it!!!

Card Buffet Class
Hi everyone! This past week we have been drenched with rain. Here's a picture of Friday's slow drive down from the Pali Tunnels on the windward size of Oahu. On a normal day, you could see the ocean and mountains in front of you. However, the rain just pelted down on us, courtesy of what was left over from Hurricane Ignacio, now just a tropical storm. The brown covering on the road is about 3-4 inches of running water streaming down.
On to the next scheduled class: This one is called a Card Buffet. For this class, you will have the opportunity to create as many cards as you can in the time frame from 1:30p to 4:30 p.m. There will be about 10 different cards available to choose. The way the class works is there will be a sample card with all the supplies to make that card. Following the sample, you will be able to create the card. Now these are all simple cards to put together. In other words, I will not be teaching but will be available if you have any questions or have problems. Card kits are not exactly the same but as close to the sample as possible. The goal is to use all these extra pieces of card items I have lying around ;o)
Class is scheduled for September 26 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at A Place in Time. Cost is $23.00. Please bring the following items which is your basic supply kit: Paper trimmer, scissors, all times of adhesive (liquid, tape, etc.), ruler, dimensional tape, black ink pad, black pen, corner rounder, scor-pal (card size), bone folder, piercing tool.
The above cards are just a sample of some of the cards available for you to create. If you are interested in attending, please call Bill at A Place in Time or email me. Thank you for stopping by!

Baby Blue
Well, since it has been a long time since I have posted, I'd better start showing you what I have been up to:
Baby shower for my ex-boss. Her baby theme was elephants. I cranked out 45 baby blue and light gray favor boxes (Stampin Up's Curvey Keepsake Box Thinlits Dies). Thank you, Colleen!!! I have fallen in live with these boxes. They are definitely cute!
Then brought out the little elephant die from Cuttlebug. The favors were all done rather quickly in a week.

Open Call for Pocket Letter Swap and Tea Swap
Our monthly tea swap continues. My partner for the August tea swap is Carol who lives in Arcadia, California.
I love the card that Carol made for me. The optional colors this month were teal, orange and white. She heat embossed the ginkgo leaves in gold. I am going to guess that the stamp she used is PTI Harvest Berries. I may just have to invest in this stamp set. It's just beautiful!
Along with the required tea bags, she sent gifts of silver cording and Christmas present stickers which I know will look just elegant on some holiday tags.
In exchange, I decided to pull out an old embossing stencil that I have never used by Lasting Impressions called Bear/Just for You and created a card with matching tea bag holder.
The tea holders opens into three partitions. I included a Stamp by Kitty Bee Designs, Hawaiian Tea and a Hawaiian snack.

Back by popular demand, we are having the 2nd Pocket Letter swap and our monthly tea swap.
September Tea Swap:
Requirements: A hand-made card and 2 tea bags mailed to your partner by September 30.
**Please indicate which swap you are joining
Responsible swappers only, PLEASE!
