More Geometric cards

I've been loving the Geometric look since I posted it as a tea swap theme.

They are so easy (just a banner die) Plus you can use whatever scraps of paper your want lying around.
All it takes are pretty triangles, strategic pop dots and carefully placed sequins.

Little Girl Purses

So, right after class this past Saturday, I had to work on birthday favors.

My little niece had a tea party for her birthday. I thought this would be perfect as a favor.  The idea came from Colleen who made a similar one for one of our tea parties.  I used SU Box 2 and Top Note dies; Nestibilities Scallop and circle dies; Sizzix Flourish - Flower with Leaves die, brads, ribbon and velco.

We filled the favors with nail polish, lip gloss, candy, and a bracelet.

I also added a scallop circle behind the lollipop and added ribbon.

Belated Thank You and a wedding card

A belated thank you for the "thank you" gift and belated birthday gift (that sure sounds funny!!) from my dear friend, Colleen!!  Life got way too busy and this note has been pending for a while.  Love her handmade goodies!!  She gave me several beautiful card fronts (do you know what those are?)  Basically, they are the front of potential cards.  You just adhere them to a card base.  The creator saves paper and the recipient can further embellish the card if they wish.   Hey... great idea for a card swap!!!  Mmmm...  Maybe I'll host a swap when my calendar is not so filled.

Besides all these other goodies, she gave me stamp markers which I have never used before so I'm anxious to give them a try.

I love everything she sent to me!!  Thank you soo much, girlfriend!!!

Here is a quick wedding card I made earlier this month.  When I first saw Stampin Up's Fresh Vintage Stamp set.  I just HAD to have it and ordered the set and matching papers. I've had it since it first came out and it hadn't been used so I was so excited to try my hand using this gorgeous stamp set!!

You can't see it, but Stickles were added for an additional bling. Love the elegance of black and white and a bonus because it was completed in no time!!

That's it for now.  It's time for me to get ready for class!!!

Felt Fusion Class #2 tomorrow -- How about geometrics?

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the second part of my Felt Fusion Album Class from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at A Place in Time.  Hope to see you there!!!

How about some geometric cards?

The theme for March's tea swap was Geometrics in Green and here is what I came up with:

The design is a scraplift from a card I saw while doing a google search. I'll amend this post later to give credit where due. Love the simplicity and elegance. I used the triangle dies from PTI's Banner Die Set. The sentiment is a Sizzix Cookie Cutter.

Here is my little tea card holder in similar colors using the 1" punch.

My partner this month is Melanie from Waianae whom is a very talented crafter. I can't wait to see what she created!
