My tea partner, Gail

The talented Gail from San Francisco was my partner this month.
You should see all the beautiful things she made with the Bird Song Graphic 45 line:

First of all, here is a picture of everything!

In this picture, we have a package of Earl Grey and Jasmine tea bags from Buckingham Palace, a little notebook of notecards, and . . .

a folder that holds these metal Scrapyard embellishments!!

Next we have a bookholder and a holder for two tea bags.  Mmmm, the tea bags are from Mighty Leaf Tea; can't wait to try them!

Lastly, we have this beautiful Screen Divider Card. I believe I saw the instructions at Splitcoast some time ago.
I am going to have to create one of my own! Isn't it beautiful!!

Thank you, Gail, for being a great tea partner and for sharing your talent with me!!

Tea for Gail

I think by now, Gail, my September Tea Swap partner would have received her card. The theme was color blocking and here's my card to her. I used SU Owl Punch and cuttlebug letter diecuts. Cute and fun to make! I went out and used colors that I would not have put together. I also sent her two Tazo tea bags and some NOH Portuguese sausage mix, which I know she loves.

If you want to join our monthly tea swap, drop me a line and I'll send you more information!

Tea Cards past --

I found some pictures of cards that my tea partner from various months had sent to me but I have never posted them so here they are:

I had two partners for April's Tea Swap, Theme:  Ribbon and Lace.  This is from Josie is Canada.   I love her romantic looking card, the blue ribbon and lace, duck stickers and Canadian tea!

Second card was created by Mary B., another partner, for the April Tea Swap.  This gorgous card is made by Mary B.  Did I saw Mary is 80 years young???!!!

She also gave me lots of things, some of which is shown here:  lady bug stencil, Jolies stickers, etc.   As Mary's partner, I was definitely spoiled!!

Mary's daughter Jayne is also in our swap.  She was my partner in June.  The theme was Summer.  Are you ready to see this beautiful card?  First of all, here is her handmade envelope.

 Here is her card, closed.
Ok, are you ready to see the insides of this card:
Ta-Da!!!
Oh my, how amazing this card is!  Look at all the details she put in just to make this beautiful card!!!  L-o-v-e it!!!

Tags for AUW

We have an AUW (Aloha United Way) fundraiser at work.  Tomorrow is bake/craft sale.  I'm donating these Christmas tags as well as a couple of the Japanese doll frames I made last season for the sale:

The tags came about pretty easy once I got the idea.  The stickers are from NRN, I believe.  Border punch by Martha Stewart.  The clear plastic pillow box was from Heiko on sale, I picked up a while ago.

A Recipe Box - a class

Time has flown by!  I haven't had time to actually sit down on my personal computer for a while!!

Last minute post on the upcoming class scheduled this Saturday called A Recipe Box.

Note that just making the box and cover will take the whole class period!!  Here is the sample, we will be concentrating on just creating the box and cover:

Take off the cover, and it looks like this:

The box fits 3 x 5 index cards.  I'll show you my prototype using scraps I have lying around.

Oops!  I just noticed the words are crooked.  I can fix that real quick. The inside of my prototype:

The box is real study, being made from chipboard.  Class is scheduled Saturday, September 27 from 1:30p to 4:30p at A Place in Time in Kailua.  Cost is $23.  Please bring the following supplies to class:

Paper Trimmer, scoring tool, bone folder, scissors, pencil or pen; adhesive of your choice, Tacky glue,
embossing tool (the ball tip type), ruler, 6 office supply clamps or clips to hold your project ends while the glue sets); ADDED:  Black ink pad, Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.

(Please note that this project may be a little difficult for beginners)
