BW Madeline Card
Happy Memorial Day! Since I felt under the weather today, I decided to stay at home and create something with the hundreds of scraps laying around my room. Today I created 2 cards and 2 calendars all using leftovers from my Tribute to Mom class last month. Using the BW Madeline line, here is what I created. Finally used this Hero Arts stamp I purchased months ago!

Paint a Chipboard
This was a response to a challenge on The Scraproom last month: Paint a Chipboard on a layout.
1. Thought I would use Prima Little Guy for my layout:
2. Organized my supplies: Round Chipboards, acrylic paints, stamps, Staz On stamp pads, tooth picks
3. Started painting some matching colors
3. When I first started this project I had no idea what I was going to do. However after inking and painting away on some of the chipboards, I kept adding and adding designs before I had to stop myself from getting carried away. It was so much fun!!
Here are all the finished chipboards:
4. A closer shot:
5. And now to add them onto my layout.
Omg, this was so much fun!!
6. TIP: Make sure your ink is totally dry before placing them on the page. My blue dots were wet. As I moved them and as my little son wanted to take a closer look, we smeared the dots. It got on the pictures and other paper. I repainted and retouched. You can hardly tell.

It's up, it's up! My little Wild Things Flipbook class, currently schedule for June 11 and June 25 at A Place in Time featuring the totally cute Imaginisce Wild Things line. It is a two part class: one to create the punch art animals and 1 to create the book. Love how my little animals came out! This 2 part class only costs $35 and is sure to be full quickly so I would definitely recommend calling APT to reserve your spot today!

Create a Flourish - Mom
I have been scrapbooking for 14 years, way before the hobby craze started. Back then, it was hard to get AF paper. 12x12 paper was unheard of and there were only stickers available. I used to create my own embellishments. There were no diecut machines and the only letters there were was either to use stickers or create your own. I would create letters on the computer and patiently handcut them out. Yes, I took a while to finish my layouts but they were my own, no one would want to duplicate them. :o) Anyway, here is a layout I recently finished for The Scraproom. The challenge was to handcut a flourish.
This is the pattern I handdrew.
And then the cutting process.

Happy Wedding Shower
It amazes me that some can update their blog everyday! How do they get the time!!?
I'm not a card person but will create cards when I need to. I'm too cheap to pay the price of "just a card". LOL!
Created this card for a family friend's wedding shower. Turned out really pretty!
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed Mother's Day tomorrow! We're heading to the beach!!!

"childhood"
The 5th series of BG's Page-of-the-Month kit using the Lime Rickey paper collection. This class is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2009, 6:30 p.m. at A Place in Time. I think the hardest part of doing these "About Me" layouts is the thought process involved in creating the journaling block. But I know at the end of the year I'll have 13 double spread layouts that are all about me to share with my family! Anyway, if you need further info, email me! Cost is $25. You also get a generous pack of large and small brads. Thanks for stopping by!
