Ningyogami Class - Sneak peak #3


The moment I saw the Sakura Wheel stencil by A Place in Time, I immediately thought it looked like a Japanese Parasol, also known as the wagasa.   I found this old picture on the internet:

Hence, my take on the picture is today's Sneak Peak.

Happy St. Paddy's

Just a quick card...a different version of a diagonal pocket card.  There are so many versions out there; thought I would try one.

The front decorated with clover dp, stamp is $1 Studio G, Marvy scallop punches & embellished with brads & grosgrain ribbon. The inside pocket decorated with Clover dp.

Pocket card perfect for your next tea swap.  Just tuck a couple bags of teas in the pocket.

This card using APT stencil called Bamboo 1. Beautiful stencil created by Bill! You don't see it in the picture but we topped the bamboo stencil with Glossy Accents. You could add Stickles instead.

Ningyogami class - sneak peak #1


This is another Ningyogami Card class using Graphic 45 Bird Song line and A Place in Time Stencils.
The class is scheduled for Saturday, March 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To reserve your spot, please call Bill at A Place in Time. I believe there are a couple spots still available but hurry because it fills quickly.

Please bring the following items to class: Scissors, paper trimmer, tacky glue (you can use runner-type adhesive tape for some but not all), mini glue dots (if you have), corner rounder, TH Distress Ink Walnut Stain (if you have), Scor-pal or other scoring tool, Japanese hole punch (if you have), Glossy Accents (optional or you could add Stickles) and ink pads in colors that look like bamboo green, lighter shade of brown and plum purple (if you have). Also bring 5 daubers or sponge to apply your ink. We will be using A Place in Time stencils called: Bamboo Background, Sakura Wheel, Bamboo 1 and Asian Fan.

Tea card from Josie and Open call for March Tea Swap

Josie from Ontario, Canada made this beautiful card and tea bag holders:

 I think she used a tea bag folding technique on her card.  
The theme for this month's swap was "going green" and the optional color was Green.
 Here is what the inside of the tea bag holders looks like:
She was able to include 2 tea bags in each holder and she sent me some tea stamped images!

February Tea Swap: Going Green

Josie from Canada is my tea partner this month.

The theme for this month's swap is Going Green and I decided to use Veggiebella (by Stampingbella).  The paper line is BG Picadilly, and I again used my Sizzix Scallop die in Kraft paper with Baker's twine.
