Iris folding the Fourth

I received this beautiful July 4th card from Anne who lives all the way in Denmark.  She used a pentagon shaped iris fold.  Look at it close up!  It's just LOVELY!!  Thank you Anne, for brightening my day!

Hang In There . . .

Thank you SOOO MUCH for all your well wishes, thoughts and prayers! Today I've got some voice back. I'm sure it won't be long before the rest comes back as well good health!

One item on my things to do list includes recreating a chipboard cover.  Well, the cover came out fabulous that I just couldn't throw it away.  Mmm... what to do with it?
You guessed it, a great cover for 2 packets of Spiced Chai Tea bags!!.

Penny Black Monkey Going Ape stamp, Copics and other markers, Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish Die, paper flowers from Paper Craft; Basic Grey Konnichiwa paper line

I have learned . . .

I have learned that when life gets you down, rest and relax, pick yourself up and get up and get going!

I'm under the weather, lost my voice and caught a cold.   Thought I'd create a little pick me up cards.

Ribbon scrap was on my desk for months!!  Pattern Paper from Basic Grey, Konnichiwa (left over from the other night's class).
The background is a poem called A Special World by Sheelagh Lennon.  I typed and printed it in Lt. Turquoise, Bookman Font size 14 on the computer.  Then I printed the quote in dark brown over.  I like this idea and think I'll keep the background to be used again in different colors.

A Class: Flip Album

FINALLY!!  A post about the class that will be held this week Wednesday, for all of you waiting patiently :o)  Family has been in town for the past week and a half which got me behind schedule.  Anyway, we will be creating a flip album -- by request :o).  I usually schedule this class for 2 days but because of the tight class schedules, we are creating the basic album in class and you can further embellish it on your own.

A chipboard cover is the only difference from the one I created in the past (pre-blogging).
In its full spread, this 6 x 6 album has 3 door compartments and will hold a total of 9 photographs.

Wanna see the album embellished?  In honor of Sister Stamp in which I took part in a Make & Take the other evening, here is the album with Mariko, a Sister Stamp image.

And embellished inner album.

Class is scheduled for Wednesday, July 11, 6:30p to 8:30p. at A Place in Time, Kailua.  Sorry, but the class is already full.  Please bring the following supplies to class:  Tacky liquid glue, tape adhesive if you wish, Stylus (if you have one), scissors, paper trimmer, clear ruler with horizontal and vertical lines and a Scor-Pal.

More about Sister Stamps.  Jenni did a Make & Take at A Place in Time this past Thursday.

Here is what we created.  Sorry about the copic coloring.  I'm just a beginner!!

This is for BFF Sherri whose birthday is TODAY!!!!
Happy Birthday, Sherri!!

And thank you to Sister Stamps!
