Idea lifting

There are times when I have no mojo. Honestly! LOL! So when that happens, I look though my old magazines or catalogs, or idea books. If I see something that grabs me, I incorporate that idea, technique or color combination in my crafts. Here is a good example. I needed to create a thank you card with some new stamps I got for my birthday (thanks, Sherri!!). Scanning though an SU catalog, this orange/green and floral combination grabbed and was the source of my inspiration for this thank you card. Here's the catalog page above the finished product. There is chaulking, sprinkles, and sewing on this card.

Adding a new look to an old one

Spiff up your old diecuts by stamping on them with watermark ink. Here is an example:

I stamped a flourish stamp using a watermark inkpad. Chalked the edges and set eyelets for the eyes. Create a layout using this technique and share your layout with us!

60 pages in 6 weeks

I did it, I did it!! I just finished the commissioned album in 6 weeks. That is, 60 pages in 6 weeks (between work, classes, and family) AND the customer was very happy with the finished album. Just in time for the birthday party. The album was to be presented to a 90 year old birthday girl this weekend. Here are some of my favorite layouts from the album:

I went to a crop this weekend!

And I'm back to working on my dd's volleyball. This is one of my fav photos of her when she was JV at her high school. Super quick and easy layout with some pre-printed patterned paper. They need to make more VB paper!

LO - Young Love

This is the layout that I did for my hostess club crop. All ladies attending got a page kit for making this layout plus enough extra paper and cardstock for the second page. This is my dd and a "friend" from a few years ago. I used CTMH Notebook L2 paper kit, hollyhock, brown bag and chocolate inks/cardstock and CTMH stamp sets "All My Love", "Sweet Love", "Believe" lower alpha and "Building Block" alpha. The ribbon is Chocolate Organza from the CTMH basics ribbon set. The sketch is from CTMH's Cherish book.
