From the Kitchen Of - Recipe card

My mom's Stamping Up (SU) group is doing a Recipe Card swap. Since I hadn't participated in any swaps for a while, I decided to join.

I created 15 cards right away before the swap closed. Alas, when the swap closed, I discovered I had to create 34 cards!!! OMG!!!! <>!!!

Well, I just finished them all last night (TG!). I used From the Kitchen Of stamp by SU. I used my new favorite and quick Corn and Edamame Salad.

A little Roxy Love

This little bag is made similar to the "Bag in a Box" design but I knew I wanted the bag more rectangular in shape (do a Google search on Bag in a Box). Sorry, I didn't measure anything, just created. It's for my gf, Jamie, on her birthday and included an alarm keychain and errings.

The colors are so Jamie and yet has a Roxie type design. Oops. the finished product had a pink and brown polka dot ribbon tied into a bow on the left side of the handle. I just didn't take a picture of the finished product.

...and yes, I did create it the morning of the celebration, around 4:00 a.m. It didn't take too long, maybe no more than an hour to create. I used the Square Lattice embossing folder from SU; Spellbinders Nesti Hearts; QK letters.
OMG, I just remembered another gf that loves Pink and Brown!!!!!!

Sample cards from Fabulous Folds Class

Here are the samples from the previous class called Fabulous Folds. There are so many different types of Folds out there. My difficulty in creating the samples for this class was which ones to create and keeping in mind that the class is ONLY 2 hours!!!

So here they are:
Middle Fold

The very popular Tri-Shutter Card

The beautiful Side Step (we learned how to create both left and right Side Step)

and my favorite one of the whole bunch, the Center Step.

Thank you for stopping by!

Card Share 2

More cards with the same CTMH paper samples.   The left card was using leftover scraps from the other cards.  I embossed some goldrush cardstock and added the prima flower, button and sentiment.   The right card uses some of the striped paper from the paer set so looks pieces without the work.  The chocolate square is embossed.  Added gingham ribbon, prima flower and a paper button cut with Martha Stewart punch (thanks, Brenda, for letting me borrow your punch!).
Enjoy!   Karen

Card Share 1

I had the opportunity to craft with friends again and completed more cards with my CTMH B&T samples.   I got eight cards out of those six 6x6" paper samples (plus cardstock, card bases and embellishments).  Here are my first two cards.
The embellishments on these cards were actually from a swap I did six or seven years ago.  I always thought they were pretty but never used them b/c I don't scrap a lot with purple, olive and gold.  But they were a perfect color match for this CTMH paper so the cards were super easy.

Enjoy!  Karen

The sign of a crafter!

"Here I am at work and I need something fast to congratulate a co-worker.... think fast!! Lunch hour spent thinking of something, but what?? I'll create a banner of some type. Mmmm. Wish I had that cone die and my diecut machine. Should have thought of this sooner ... like last nite.... Ok, hand cut triangles. Good, we have cardstock paper in the copy room. Cut, cut cut. Now, I need letters. Where can I get stickers, rubons? Wish I had my letter diecuts it would have looked professional... Oh well. Let's see what we do have... A computer, printer and paper. Font: Arial or Times Roman? How large? Now what???"

"OMG, I have a circle cutter in my desk!! (Didn't have the time to bring it home years ago). Anyone have string or ribbon? SHUCKS, I've got a ton at home in every color. Guess I'm going to have to ask around if anyone has 36 inches of ribbon!... GREAT! Thank you for the ribbon!! Mmmm.... not bad, not bad at all!"

WA-LA! From start to finish - less than 30 minutes!!!
