Happy Easter Punch Art

Today's post involve all Stampin' Up! products (for and from my mom).

Using the Two-Step Owl punch and a 1 inch circle punch, I created these little chickies.

The Happy Easter stamp is from the Well Script set.

Dark brown pen and kraft paper completes the cards

Here are the tools I used.
One of my students asked where can they find a good white pen.

I discovered Arcylic white paint works perfect all the time.

All you need is a steady hand and a tooth pick to dot the eyes of this little chickie.

Open Call - April Tea Swap

I received this card from Becky in IN who was my March Tea Swap partner. It actually arrived on St. Paddy's day! It is really cute and yet simple and elegant. I also received 3 tea bags from her. I already tried the Christmas Tea! Mmmmmmmm.

We are actually making this little froggy one.

But thought I'd show what it looks like when a flower is added in place of the froggy. You can easily change the sex of the card just by changing something on the pocket.

Actually, the card we will be making in class does not have the bling design on the pocket. It actually looks masculine but I decided to add the bling when I was taking this picture to show how you can dress the card up to look like designer jeans.

A Little Aloha

With the left overs from the Tropical Flair class, I decided to create a mini paper bag.

To see the size of the little bag, here it is compared to a 3x3 card and 3x3 post-it note holder.

I only used a 6 x 12 inch paper, scoring at 1 3/4" for the sides. Top folds down 1" and the bottom folds up 1 1/2". This is also where the teacher learns from her students. A special thank you to Byron for sharing the idea of braiding the raffia handles. He shared another bag he made entirely on his own after our class. I was so proud of him!!

And the full ensemble with 2 bags of Hawaii Islands Tea Hibiscus Honey Lemon green tea. A perfect little Aloha gift for tea at the Mission House Tea Parlor today!

Just Your Typical Hawaiian Cards

I wanted to create something that wasn't your "typical" Hawaiian. Well, after these scraps have been sitting on my desk for at least half a year, let's get them down and finished!!!



I was going to add brads, eyelets or even ribbon -- maybe I'll add raffia. I don't know. I think simple is good.
There was very little paper paper left so I brought out my APT Mahalo Stamp and added this. I think the paper punch is an old one by Paper Shapers.

Banners are currently my favorite thing for layouts and cards.  I found this cute sketch #72 on Sketch Savvy and tweaked it to work with my son's senior wallets.
