Yesterday I spent time scrapping with some friends I hadn't seen for months! So I went shopping for some stamps that I could cut apart and gift. Found these Hero Art Cling Friendship stamps and made these little omiyage candy bar holder holder with stamp. Thank you for opening your home and hosting, Cheryl! I had a wonderful time!

Card Share - final two
These are the final two cards that I made using my samples from the CTMH Animal Crackers line. Would you believe that I made all eight cards using six different patterns of 6x6" papers? I included card bases and some coordinating cardstock. I thought that was a great number of cards from so little paper. And when I think of how many different sets of paper samples I have, I'll be making cards forever!
I decided I needed to make some real baby cards with this line. I have one pregnant friend that will be having a shower in a few months and it's always good to have a few cards on hand. I love the jungle animal themed paper the best so I didn't do much to the card - just added a really old CTMH sentiment and some twill ribbon. On the second card, used same sentiment and my trusty old Martha Steward border punch and bling.
Enjoy! I hope to have more cards completed with my next line of CTMH papers in the next week or so.

Card Share - two more
Two more from the CTMH Animal Crackers line (hope you aren't getting tired of them). As you can tell, I'm still using my Cuttlebug embossing templates.
On the first card, the blue square is embossed with birthday sayings from Cuttlebug. The sentiment is CTMH. The stars border is some felt in my stash, along with a prima flower and misc. button.
On the second, I utilized a felt scalloped border and flower. I used scraps from the CTMH papers.
Enjoy!

Card Share - More Animal Crackers
This set of CTMH papers is quite versatile. Bright and cheery, it was designed for kids cards and layouts. I think it works well for general birthday and thank you cards also.
First card is color blocked with scraps from the CTMH Animal Crackers line. I added an embossed square and stamped sentiment (CTMH). The chipboard flower is from the Forest Friends set at Michaels.
For the second card, I used a Martha Stewart border punch, bling and an Cuttlebug embossing folder (red square). Sentiment is CTMH, using SU punch.
Enjoy - will have more to come.

Card Share - Animal Crackers
Until recently, I was a CTMH consultant. I have a number of the little booklets of CTMH paper samples that were used for showings. Since I'm not showing anymore, I decided to use the papers to make some cards. So, today and over the next few days I will be showing cards made with the CTMH line called "Animal Crackers".
Following are two quick cards. On the first card, the green spot is actually embossed cardstock bearing birthday greetings (didn't show up well). The flower is prima and the felt lady bug was in my stash. On the second card, I incorporated a Martha Steward border punch and SU sentiment.
More cards to follow this week.

"Omiyage" gifts
Someone asked me what is "Omiyage". I mention the word a couple of times in previous posts.
Well, the word and custom originates from Japan: The Art of Gift Giving. In Japan, there are a number of social obligations one of which is omiyage or roughly translated as "souvenir". Whenever you go on a trip, you are expected to return bearing gifts. They don't have to be expensive gifts. Since space is limited in Japan, these gifts are usually items that can be quickly consumed (i.e. candy, little cakes, sweets, etc). The actual gift does not matter for it is the "thought that counts."
I believe the gift of gifting came from Japan to the Hawaii plantation camps and, like many of the original customs, have hybrid into its own unique Hawaiian interpretation. If you are invited to someone's house for a meal, you bring an omiyage. If you go on a trip, you return bearing omiyage to office staff or loved ones. If you haven't seen someone for a long time, you come bringing omiyage. Little gifts to show you thought of them, you remembered them, or just because!
This is my little omiyage gift to a co-worker because she did something very nice and thoughtful. It is a cardholder filled with about 10 of my handmade cards and envelopes.

LO Share - St. Louis
Photos from my GF trip to St. Louis. Used a photo collage to capture some of the fun things in St. Louis. I especially loved the lime green taxi cabs (since that's one of my fav colors). I believe the papers are from Jenny Bowlin.
Still got another layout to come. Enjoy! Karen

LO share - Cheetah Woman
So, I went to this two-day crop in April. I always like to have lots of fun at these events and this particular event had a pajama fashion show on Friday evening. Now, usually I like to get layouts accomplished and I don't do a lot of the games, etc. at these events, but with prodding from my tablemates and the lure of prizes, I decided to participate. Big problem was, I didn't have my PJs with me! So I borrowed one mates cheetah blankie and went as Cheetah Woman (ala Cheetah Girls) and acted silly. The second part was to do a layout (they provided the photos from the fashion show). This is my entry.
More layouts to come. Enjoy! Karen.

LO share - Initiation
Another sorority layout from my dd. I'm really happy she decided to share photos from her first year! This is from right before her sorority initiation. The actual ceremony is super secret. I'm really glad we went dress shopping one weekend and found a store with really cute street-length dresses at really reasonable prices. I think I bought her four or five, one of them being a black one. Dogged that bullet so she didn't have to run out and get a dress for this event. :) Sorry for the glare on the photo.

LO Share - Rush/Bid Day
Quickie layout using photos from my dd's first days at college when she was going through sorority rush and bid. Loved that they had hot pink shirts on so I could use some of my stash of pink papers and flowers. Revisited an old technique -- paper tearing. How long has it been since you've done that?
I've been getting some layouts done so more layouts to come this week. Enjoy!

LO Share - River Bluffs Band
Another from my girl's trip to St. Louis. Some of my friends are very serene and will take a very nice photo. Then there are some of us that have to play in the water attractions. This is Rivers Bluffs Band (near City Garden in downtown). Continuing to use Basic Grey papers and stickers.
