Sweet Treats

I recently went to a Stampin' Up meeting and they made these adorable cupcakes with the new petal cone die and the square lattice embossing folder. Guess what? I ended up buying them and now I have to justify purchasing them. So here goes:

Cut one cone and 2 scallop toppers (from the die). Embossing the top is optional.

Score a flatted cone at 2" from the die's score line.

Cut 3" down from the die's score line.

Cut the rounded edge off and the bottom of the cone as pictured above.

Fold in the left tab and fold up the bottom tab. Crimping or embossing is optional here. Adhere so that your cone looks like the one below.

Now slide the top of your cupcake over the cone. Add a 3/4 circle in red. Embossing is optional as well as the Glossy Accents I used on one of the "cherries". Decorate the cone as you wish. The labels pictured above are from the SU Matchbox die and SU Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment stamp. Other products used: SU Square Lattice, CB Swiss Dots, and CB Textile Texture embossing folder, a Fiskars paper crimper.

This little holder can hold a small candy bar.

A Simple one, wanted to use up scraps and items I had on hand. The little jogger is a CTMH stamp, and the pattern paper by TLC. Quick, Fast, and done!

Magenta Stamps

A Place In Time just got some Magenta stamps in. The background of this card is one of the ones I picked up and thought immediately of "Baseball"! I purchased a couple other stamps, just hadn't had the time to play with them. Oh, and the basketball is a diecut and embossing plate from Cuttlebug, I think. (Thanks, Sherri!!)

Little Chickadee

This little chickadee is too cute! Saw it at Inspired Designs and thought it would be perfect for the little omiyage gifts to my friends (whom I only see once at year) at Scrapper's Jam 2011!! Of course I had a limited amount of punches having sold most of them earlier this year or loaned them out. Oh, and yes, I did start on this project the wee morning of the Jam.I had a WONDERFUL time at the Jam seeing all my old friends. Spent the whole time socializing with old and new friends. Can't believe I paid the money to socialize and scrapped ONLY 2 pages!!!

Here's to all those I hadn't seen in a long time but saw at the Jam ... DeAnna, Marisa, Brenda, Sally, Gayle, Carol, Peggy, Man Le, Debbie, Shellie, etc., etc. Thanks for a GREAT JAM!!

Mojo Card Share

I just love the Mojo sketches. Here is the sketch of the week - Mojo 180.
And here is my take on it. If you have been looking at my blog, you'll see that I haven't cleaned my scrap desk up and I'm still using the same paper scraps I used last week.
I have another card posted using a candle sketch and the same paper scraps on my personal blog at my-crazy-never-still-life.
