Celebrate!

This card was made using my Cuttlebug. I used the Nestibilities dies for the squares and scalloped squares and an embossing folder for the texture on the green.

Enjoy! KC

Scrap Cards again

I always seem to have a lot of pieces left over from swap page kits and other types of swaps. When the size warrant, I have been repurposing these extras into cards! This flower embellishment is too cute. Although hard to see, the white part is embossed and it is hand stitched. I paired it up with cardstock texturized with more embossing and some white ribbon.

On the long and narrow

Fun card size -- it's 8 x 3-1/2 and the cards fit nicely in a standard business envelope. Used some scraps again...

Bits and Pieces

This card was made with some pretty (but old) prima flowers that I had. The card is embossed and the word windows were cut with my Nestabilities.

More cards -- I seem to be on a roll. Not getting much scrapping done though. I got these cut felt flowers at the "It's Your Scrap Daddy" booth at the CKC Convention this year. Paper is from my scrap pile. "Celebrate" tag is fabric and from Target.

Happy scrapping! KC

Scrap Cards

Sometimes, I just want to make some cards and not cut up a bunch of new fresh paper. So, I make what I call scrap cards. Cards made with bits and pieces. For this card, I used some Basic Grey papers, Doodlebug paper frills, some cardstock and then cut a focal point with my Nestabilities and a chip board flower from a set at Micheal's. KC

A pretty simple, classy card

This one is for next month's Shoebox card swap. Pretty simple but I like it for its elegant look. This card has no sentiment. I will add it when the card is needed. It can be given for any occasion - birthday, thank you, sympathy, friendship, etc. I love using scraps and love cardstock!

Boy card - Thanks

It was the first time I've used this stamp, purchased last month or so. Supplies used: BG Hang 10 pattern paper, Bazzill CS, CTMH Playday, Gold brad, Watercolor paper, Watercolors

I made a couple of these as thank you cards for my son. This is also the card I used (without the 'Thanks" for the sample Shoebox Card Swap mentioned in my post yesterday.

Boys - scrapbook layout

Pieces from an old TLC Hot Fudge Boys kit; Sizzlets border diecut, gold brads

I recently heard about something called a Shoebox Card Swap. Every participant creates a sample card and enough "kits" (or supplies) for others to duplicate the exact same card with minimum to none oral instructions. I am starting one at Koolau Kroppers at our Club meetings. Will post the October ones at that time. If you are interested in a monthly scrapbook club on the Windward side of Oahu, scrapbooking with a bunch of friendly gals, let me know! We'd love to have you join us! That's it for now!

Pineapple Princess - Coasters Gift

Needed a quick, memory gift to a co-worker who is moving back home to Texas. I wanted to give her something small and memorable. These photo coasters were purchased at Walgreens a while ago for just $5.00. Since I will always remember her as the "Pineapple Princess", used the QK pineapple and various Bazzill cs. I will also include a pack of pineapple tea.

Coffee Swap

This is my 3rd year that I have participated in a coffee swap. Yes, besides Tea, I also love flavored coffee but I only have 1-2 cups in the morning. I try to pick a flavor from Hawaii, package them prettily and send them off. The hostess lives in WA. Hope it gets there safely. I also added a hostess thank you gift of Chocolate macnuts, Maui Caramacs, and a tiny jar of Hawn Honey.

The packaging came out so cute and professional, I'm thinking of creating these small gifts as little Christmas gifts to friends on the mainland. It also lets me use up the free Hawaiian printed paper I accumulate. Hawaiian-styled scrapbook layouts are just not my thing.

I created 25 of these little coffee packages which were really quick to make.
